Friday Evening: Betty and Derek's Golden Wedding
Can it really be 50 years since my wife Audrey, as a little tot, acted as Bridesmaid when her Aunty Betty married Derek Clapham. Well it must be, because all these people crowded into Bentham Sunday School last Friday night to celebrate Betty and Derek's Golden Wedding.
Here we see the Happy Couple cutting the cake, as beautiful and handsome as the day they were wed!
These are the family members who graced the top table. You can see Audrey's mum Alice, Betty's older sister, at the top end. It was miracle she was there because she is suffering very badly from Parkinson's Disease.
